July Newsletter is now available.
- The July 9th General Membership meeting will be a fun and informative one to attend. Besides the usual meeting logistics, the presentation will be about the Texas QSO Party contest ,held the last full weekend in September, the 26th and 27th. Chuck Sanders, NO5W, from the NARS club, coordinates that contest and he will be traveling from The Woodlands to tell us about all the fun and frolic to be had in operating that contest. So, let’s show Chuck a good turn out for his hour long drive effort from northern Harris County. See the July newsletter for more details.
The club meets monthly, usually on the second Thursday(7:30 PM) of the month, at the
Sugar Land Community Center.
Also, BVARC members frequent the 145.47 (PL 123.0) repeater and hold a Public Service Net every Monday
at 8 PM except for the second Monday of each month when the net meets on 146.94 (167.9) because of greater coverage.
The Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club is a public service club serving Fort Bend County and Southwest Houston. The club was
founded in 1978 and has been active in social events, license classes,
administering amateur radio license tests. It provides support for city and
county emergency management communication operations. Members provide support
for many charitable events such as walks and bike rides. The club also promotes two nets and
an annual swapfest.
