My qth SAPPHIRE is a small saphire mining comunity, our nearest large town is EMERALD 50 klms to the East, of Sapphire. My wife and myself have lived here for just on 2 years, we lived and worked in EMERALD for 12 years before moving here. I have been a licenced Amateur since 1982, holding the call signs VK2PMC, VK2CMC, P29KK and now VK4EK.

OPERATING NOTES.
The main transceiver used for SSTV and SSB is a KENWOOD TS940 driving a AMERITRON AL-811H amplifer, The antenna is a 3 element tri bander at 48ft, a 40 meter delta Loop runs from the tower and favours East/West. The 2nd Transceiver is my YAESU FT-102, old but near Mint, it drives my Heathkit SB-200 amplifer, used mainly on 40 meters. antenna for this rig is an 80 meter diople fed with 600 ohm feeder, tunes 80 to 10 meters, tuner is a TOYKO HI POWER HS-400L. I have a back up transceiver, a KENWOOD TS690 and an ALINCO DX 70 for 6 meters into a 2 ell quad ,at present. Also have a home brew center loaded vertical for 160 meters, constructed by RON VK4CRO.
QSL CARD INFORMATION
I favor to use E-QSL for exchange of cards, its fast and time saving and for me its the way to go.
